Chief Executive Officer
Cliff Wilson began his role as chief executive officer (CEO) of STRHS-Winchester/Sewanee in August 2019. Prior to his current role, he served as the hospitals’ chief operating officer (COO) and ethics and compliance officer. In addition to his role as COO, he also served as interim CEO of the STRHS-Lawrenceburg campus from November 2018 to March 2019. A long-time leader within LifePoint Health, Wilson served in several roles at Rockdale Medical Center – a former LifePoint facility in Conyers, Georgia – prior to his time at STRHS, including as assistant administrator; senior director, physician services; group practice administrator and regional director. Before that, he was director of professional recruitment and development for Southeastern Integrated Medical, PL in Gainesville, Florida, and market manager for HCA Physician Services in Gainesville, Florida.
Cliff earned a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.
He lives in Franklin County with his wife, Stephanie, and they have four children: Lydia, Natalie, Audrey and Camron. He is a member of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce and – along with his wife – a graduate of Leadership Franklin County.
Cheif Financial Officer
Shaun Adams has served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at STRHS-Winchester/Sewanee since January 2019. Adams began his career in 2003 with HCA as a financial auditor where he was instrumental in the leadership of auditing projects and was commended for his high performance.
In 2009, he advanced to the controller position with University Medical Center. He then joined Tennova Healthcare-Harton where he served as CFO for seven years before moving to CFO at Tennova Healthcare-Lebanon.
Shaun’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Western Kentucky University.
He is married to Rose and has three children Anna Beth, Tyler and Holli Rose. Shaun and Rose enjoy traveling, attending sporting events, live music, lake recreation and spending time with family and friends.
Chief Nursing Officer
Jason Fugleberg graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with his bachelor of science in nursing in 2012. He went on to obtain his Executive MBA in Healthcare Leadership from the University of Tennessee in 2015. Mr. Fugleberg has more than eight years of experience as a healthcare executive with involvement in guiding clinical departments in non-profit and for profit hospitals. Mr. Fugleberg joined STRHS-Winchester/Sewanee in November 2020 as CNO after his tenure as CNO of Brigham City Community Hospital in Brigham City, UT.
Chief Operating Officer
STRHS Winchester/Sewanee’s COO, Carolyn Sparks, is from Virginia. She received her B.A. in Economics from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and her Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, MCV Campus in Richmond, Virginia. She is LEAN Certified, and Kata trained.
Carolyn joined LifePoint in 2013 at Raleigh General Hospital. She later moved to LifePoint’s Hospital Support Center in service line operations for Cardiovascular, Emergency Department and Radiology/Imaging Services. Carolyn served as an Assistant Administrator for the former Central Group before joining STRHS.
Her favorite part of her role as COO is enabling healthcare providers and employees to provide high quality care to the community…truly, living out our mission of Making Communities Healthier!
In her free time, Carolyn enjoys spending time in her community and on the lake or hiking with her husband Kyle and their two dogs, Storm and Juice Box.
