Dr. Michael Strickland Joins STRHS-Winchester/Sewanee

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System-Winchester/Sewanee (STRHS) recently announced that Michael Strickland, DO, has joined its staff and will be offering urologic services to patients in the community. Dr. Strickland brings more than 25 years of clinical experience to STRHS.

“Dr. Strickland has years of experience in treating a range of complex urologic diseases and he is an excellent addition to our team,” said Cliff Wilson, CEO of Southern Tennessee Regional Health System-Winchester/Sewanee.  “Urological issues are an increasing concern in Franklin County and surrounding communities.  Dr. Strickland’s expertise will be important as STRHS strives to meet our region’s evolving healthcare needs and make our communities healthier.”  

Dr. Strickland joins STRHS from Southwest Florida Urologic Associates in Fort Myers, FL.  Before Southwest Florida Urologic Associates, he was a urologic surgeon at Urology Associates in Stratford, NJ and a clinical instructor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Dr. Strickland graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO in 1991. He completed his residency at Riverside Osteopathic Hospital in Trenton, Michigan.  Dr. Strickland is board-certified in urological surgery and is a member of the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery and the American Osteopathic Association.   

Dr. Strickland will begin seeing patients at Southern Tennessee Urology at 155 Hospital Rd., Winchester, TN in June 2021.
