Dr. William Newton Joins STRHS Team

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Winchester (STRHS- Winchester) is proud to announce the addition of Dr. William Newton to its physician practice group. Dr. William Newton will be providing interventional spine and pain management services to the community. Dr. Newton’s outpatient clinic will be located at First Choice Health in Winchester, Tennessee where he will see patients one day a week. Dr. Newton is also a valuable part of the team at the Interventional Spine and Pain Center in Manchester and Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
“I am excited to bring the latest advancements and procedures in pain management to Southern Tennessee Regional Health System,” said Dr. William Newton. “There is so much more to pain management than medications. We have a toolbox full of options for patients to help reduce the need for pain medications. Our goal is to improve function and quality of life”
William J. L. Newton, DO, is a board-certified physician with a specialty in physical medicine and rehabilitation and pain medicine. Dr. Newton received his medical education at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University, in Downers Grove, Illinois. He completed his residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., where he served as chief resident. He also has a Master’s Degree in sports medicine/athletic training from Illinois State University. Dr. Newton serves as an assistant clinical professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee.
